All of the researchers and authors involved in this did a fantastic job producing valuable information on why teachers are leaving the workforce, as well as performing groundbreaking research on teacher attrition, why teachers are leaving the workforce, and why some are staying.
"Behind the Stats: 3 Former Teachers Talk About Why They Left" - Elizabeth Heubeck
Heubeck gives an interesting insight into why many teachers are leaving the workforce by directly interviewing three previous teachers. The author asked the teachers why they left and why they had remained in the profession for a long time. Many of the teachers talked about the lack of support from the students, parents, or administration while saying that they still missed teaching the students.

This article has done a great job of showcasing the issues with teacher turnover rates and the amount of stress that is being put on teachers every day. Furthermore, the author(s) explained how student achievement is being affected by this. As teachers are leaving the profession, the students who are being left behind are struggling to learn the material.

All of these sources and more are vital to the research that is still being conducted on this topic to this day. Additionally, with the production of these sources, the information on this issue is becoming more accessible and the message on how to help is only growing.
